Our Beginning
Eastern Art Services is an extension of Barridoff Auctions. Already experts in handling, packing, and storing art works sold in the Barridoff auctions, Eastern Art Services is Barridoff's response to meet the unique storage and handling requirements of collectors, artists, and institutions. Its storage facility has been designed with the expertise that comes from over four decades of being passionately involved in the stewardship, handling, and care of fine art collections.
Our Space
Eastern Art Services is located in a 2,100 square foot, climate controlled facility at 100 Innovation Way in Scarborough, Maine.
New construction facility constructed with non-combustible materials.
Temperature and relative humidity standards follow those of the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) as set for museums and other related institutions.
Secured space within a secured facility, 24/7 monitored security alarm and interior/exterior cameras, long range motion detectors, wall vibration sensors and magnetic door contacts.
Police and fire department response for fire and burglary controlled by central station system.
Storage area sealed in a fire safe chamber with fire-rated overhead and regular doors.
Back-up power provided by a Kohler 20kw natural gas generator.
Our adjacent workshop is outfitted to meet any of your art’s wrapping, packing, shipping or crating needs

Our staff members has decades of fine art experience between them and have worked alongside numerous institutions including major museums and galleries across the country, contemporary artists and their studios, conservation studios, numerous estates, as well as auction houses of all sizes.
